Sex & The City Series Finale!

Tonight! I can't wait! What did you guys think of Part 1? I knew Big was going to come back (that relationship reminds me of how me and my boyfriend used to be to a T!), and I really hope Samantha gets engaged to Smith! What do you guys want to/think will happen?

:good point: lol

Besides it's a GREAT show and I'll be sad it's gone, but truth be told it's probably leaving at the right time.

The women are all incredibly beautiful, the show is fantastic, and you really shouldn't try to critique a show you admit you've never even seen!

Last night's finale was great! I'm so happy the way they tied up most of the loose ends, yet left it open enough for the planned feature film.

Don't read further if you haven't watched last night's episode

Reuniting Carrie and Big was perfect (and I'm glad they didn't marry her off, she should stay single on the show, and let the audience decide in their minds if she ever gets married or not). Big had really made up for his many past blunders (I even forgave him, and I always hated him!).

They showed that Miranda truly has become a selfless person, and that her marriage and motherhood have finally melted that iceberg around her heart. Of all the characters, she has had the most personal growth, and I must give kudos to the writers for how they've handled her.

Samantha has truly found the right guy. This just blew me away, because it illustrates someone who is truly with someone because she wants to be, not because she has to be. Her cancer issues weren't wrapped up all nice and tidy at the end (just like real life), and that's a fairly bold move for television. Will she beat it? We just don't know, but we're all hoping so. Her conclusion was still incredibly life-affirming, and she certainly appeared to be on the path to recovery.

Charlotte's story concludes with us knowing that she would finally become a mother, yet once again we didn't see the final outcome. She knows in her heart that the little Chinese baby will be hers, and that is enough for us as an audience.

So what will the feature film entail? Will it wrap up these storylines? Continue them? Introduce bold new directions? Probably a bit of all three. I'm anxious for the film, but I'm glad that the show ended the way it did. Kudos to the cast and crew for a great show, and props to the producers for ending the show while it was still fresh and exciting!

I agree. It was definitely great, and completely believeable. I can't stand when a show does something shocking on the last episode to keep you hanging. The final episode left me smiling, and I was very happy with all of the outcomes. I started tearing up at the end!

Couldn't agree more. The show went out on such a perfect note. What do you think they're gonna do with the movie??

I was so glad, too. I was scared something shocking was going to happen and leave all of us mad!

I really hope they do actually make the movie!

Me too! Supposedly, its already been green-lit, and everyone seems to be on board. I just wonder how long they'll wait. Hopefully not too long!

I too was afraid that they were gonna do some sort of over-the-top shock ending. In fact, I got really worried when Steve's mom got sick. I thought they were gonna do some crazy shit that would cause them to split up. I'm so relieved they handled the whole thing with class instead!

Couldn't have stated it better myself!!!

As much as I LOVE all the girls...Miranda was always my favorite. I can really relate to how she was very reluctant to let anyone in. She has changed the most and it's so beautiful to see how warm of a human being she's become. To me, Magda (the housekeeper) has become a mother figure to her and it made me cry when she told her " You love...what you did today show that you Love"...gave Miranda a kiss on the forehead and THE WATERWORKS began!

All in all...this was the perfect ending and we finally know 'Big's" really name..JOHN! I predicited Robert but John works for me!
Every minute of last night is on my face today....
