Is it a person, music, events that have happened or are in the future, a car or possession? Have you ever stopped to think about this? Or what would it be like if this "thing of importance" wasn't there any more. Interesting that 144 views and 24 responses without an answer as to what you would do if you lost these things that you place importance on.
Too deep of a question, I guess. 
The reason I started this was that I personally, have never taken stock in what/who was important to me. All it takes is to lose one to make you look at the other things that I placed importance on and show some appreciation. Thanks for playing and thanks to Cloud and Christopher for the thread-jacking. what's important to me as in 'things'? not many things really. my animals and plants, my computer, car, keyboard and recording stuff, books, movies, radio. things that occupy my time or entertain me. oh yeah and my exercise equipment and bathtub having hot and cold running water, electricity and heat doesn't suck at all. i'm glad to be alive in the industrial age. kind of.
non-materially? peace of mind, strength of body and soul. people, friendships and family relations. because, no matter what you think you 'have' in life, tomorrow is another day and things can and do change. so, you'd better be happy with yourself as a person. just my 2c [This message was edited Thu Mar 4 11:26:18 2004 by XxAxX] | |
