Everybody wants 2 be black

Every time i see racist stuff on this forum, I always laugh cuz the truth is we all have one thing in common and that's we all want 2 be black. The only difference between whites and blacks is y'all can choose when it's convient 4 y'all, see my skin is black all the time, I can't turn it off.

Don't tell me what my truth is Lisa. I have no desire to be black. I am as God made me.

The inequities shown the African-Americans in the US is a valid point and a wrong that needs to be righted, but to say that makes me want to be black is still ingnorant and not the truth.

I'd rather be smart, imaginative and inventive....colorless traits.

It never occurred to me either. The statement made by DigitalLisa is fucked up and racist. I enjoy being white and am damn proud of it too.

I wasn't telling u what ur truth was, I was just telling it like it is, cuz I can see the truth 4 myself. Also i'm just speaking in general cuz see i live in a white neighborhood, most of these kids i see be trying 2 imintate my culture and whenever I see shows like American Idol, all those white kids being trying 2 sound all soulful ya know. Basically it's like whatever we did, whites came along took it re did, you can see this time and time again through out history if you want any examples.

Its funny to me how so much can be said about black people but as soon as something is said the other way around everybody wants 2 get on the defensive side .

Well you may be, but I'm not. This person is obviously walking around with a giant chip on her shoulder. This is why she has to make statements such as this. She needs the validation. If you go through your life thinking this way, you will never better yourself nor will you do any good for anyone around you. There is so much hate and anger in this world. People like DL need to get over the hate they are carrying around for the white man and get on with their lives and do something to improve life for their people. Making comments such as DL did, isn't going to help anyone at all. It just adds to the hatred and bitter feelings.

HUH?!

You can't have any soul if you're white? It's a shame that you think in such black and white terms (no pun intended). I'd like some examples to fully process what you're trying to say. neutral

Come on, Lisa, this is unfair. To be black or to be white or yellow, it's not important. The most important thing is to be a good person.
I'm white and I don't want to be black, simply cause I'm not black. I don't mind if my girlfriend is black or white. I only see feelings, emotions, thoughts...

I don't understand the color racism. Really, I don't
It's just your skin color. It is not your personality that shows on your skin.
Skin is skin.
Color is color.
Black people are not like they are because of the color of their skin - they have some things in common because they are from the same place, and have a somewhat alike mentality.
The color is just an add - like most scandinavians have blue eyes - it doesn't mean we're all alike.

This world should be colorblind

i agree, that's what it boils down to. the same amount of energy, redirected to something constructive, could make a world of difference.

Interesting. Why did you laugh at him? He was embracing your, how did you say it?....."culture", and you shot him down. You need to break down your own walls. You made him feel bad because why? Music is music.

It's just singing. I didn't realise soul was exclusively black. James Brown described Joe Cocker as one of the greatest soul singers ever. I heard a duet years ago between the two, now i prefer JB all the way, but Joe smoked him that night.

And no, i don't think you're racist either lisa, but how offended would you be if this thread title referred to black wanting to be white?

C'mon, all hell would break loose!
