Do you keep one? Why? Write in it every day? Do you write your most intimate thoughts? Do you keep it tucked away in a private place? Does it have a lock on it? From time to time do you go over what you've written? (You don't have to answer all of these questions.)

I keep one. I don't write in it everyday, but when I do, I don't like to write my most private thoughts. I'm not sure why. Maybe buying one with a lock would allow me to express my thoughts more freely. But, just the fact that it would have a lock on it implies secrecy. It's like a catch 22 with me, although it really shouldn't be.

I don't keep things locked up, but they are "put away". Ever since I was 13 or something. Got lots of cheesy stuff, and lots of really cool stuff too. I think it's fairly important to keep stuff that shows how you developed as a person to keep tabs on your own history. No matter how much you think you will remember, you forget lots of stuff if you don't get some basic thoughts down.

Whether a cave painting, recording arts, photography or writing...it's important to create some sort of art, I reckon. You change chemically/physically and your thoughts change along with your biological changes. Looking back sometimes is like reading someone else's thoughts. Most of the time you feel what you felt then, all over again. Becaue you've been there. It's like re-visiting an old place you know.
