ARGHHHHH Do you ever feel like you uncondcously gave up to much of your life for your career. Today I was thinking about this with my whirlwind promotion and my boss being gone again. I sometimes feel like my life has flahsed before my eyes and before I know it, I am semi married to my job. Sure I got out with my friends when they are not all my boyfriend this my boyfriend that . But shit I would like some more free time damnit. I dunno maybe I am tired and crabby, but I feel like I have lost out on some things in life. Am I

The hard part is saying "no" when you're asked to work later/longer, though...

I kinda have to do it now with my boss being gone...Some of my employees are dumb as fuck...the rest do not listen to a word I say...I wrote 2 of them up today...they think I am not going to be a hard ass like my little bro who went to our store in MPLS ( I took his job). I think they realize that now...but shit babysitting 18 and 19 year olds wears me the fuck out.

Did your employer get you to sign a work agreement, or anything to the affect saying that you must work these long hours?

uhh no. Then why do you think you HAVE TO do these long hours? Because my store will fall apart if I don't Either: --Delegate better to your staff (make them do it right) --Hire better qualified staff --Work your normal (fewer) hours and let the store suffer a bit till your boss comes back Or: --Put in the long hours just till he gets back
