Dream analysis

Well, Ive woken up horrendously early for a weekend. Yet I had the strangest dream. I was sat round a dining table with my Dad and this guy and his Dad who I know were with us. Well anyway, they were kind of taking the piss out of my Dad and I just went off on one defending him to the hilt on my own in quite a cool and collected manner; perhaps unecessarily so by the fact that I felt inside that I was overreacting and getting more heated and embarassed. At the same time I was chewing and picking at a bread roll that after every bite just got bigger and bigger.

I was wondering (seriously) what such a dream signifies if anything at all?

ok, here's what I got:

Is he afraid in real life he cant control his temper or he bites off more than he can chew in a sense. sounds about right though biting off more than you can chew.

However I think this may be more on point:

The dining table and bread suggest nourishment -- could be nourishment for the body, soul or mind or food for thought.

The heated argument suggests an inner conflict which a more immature side of him seems to be over-reacting to. As the argument becomes more intent -- the bread gets bigger -- suggesting the argument is being fed upon by this immature self -- making it bigger and bigger.

Perhaps he needs to re-look at something in his life from a more mature perspective and allow the bread to nourish himself.

I'm still waiting for another analysis though

Ok My turn biggrin,I keep having this nightmare maybe you can help me understand it.

I'm outside on the street at night standing outside a love interest's car. We are laughing and talking about to say good-bye. He says something like "give me a hug" and I go to raise my arms to put them around his neck. I get really confused because mid movement I realize I have no control over my movements. I can't quite grap him. He graps a hold of me and he says "Oh my god Kim, you are bleeding!" I slip through his fingers and as I start to fall down onto the pavement I realize that I have been injured(stabbed? confuse) in the back of my head, neck and left shoulder. When I hit the ground I loose conciseness and I wake up from the dream frightened out of my wits!

Anyone who knows me, and you can ask Sinisterp if you don't believe me,knows that the dreams I remember are SO vivid that I have a hard time telling if they are real or fantasy for at least 3 min after I wake up. The first time I woke up from this dream I expected to be in a hospital and was confused when I found that I was resting in my own bed and my alarm was going off.

Help Janfriend, I think that until I uncover the "message"( I know I read to much Jung shrug) behind this dream I am doomed to keep having it.

ok the only thing I got out of this was: I get the sense of betrayal (being stabbed in the back) and I'm wondering if the dreamer is not picking up on unconscious clues in her waking life that are being played out in her dreams.

I'm still looking though

eek that's what I was afraid of, Or maybe i'm having dreams like that because I think I am being "stabbed" in the back? There is a lot of shit going on a work I am worried about but that does not explain the love interest's involvement. hmmm

Thanks again for your help hug
