Oh wow, I would DEFINITELY be interested! How cool would it be? lol, don't mind me.. I actually just got through writing a bit and it's WONDERFUL therapy.. so I'm a bit wired. :-p But yeah, I think this would be great.. I was actually thinking about suggesting it, but you beat me too it. Okay.. here's one of mine.. but keep in mind.. I'm not really a "poet" I write prose, and they just come right out.. it's not something I "work" at..
Close your eyes, be still. Listen to the silence around you, it's deafening because it's trying to tell you something. Listen carefully, you'll hear your inner child, if you just pull yourself out of this chaotic world for just a moment. A moment is all it takes to make you realize, you're okay. The world can be a scary place, but if you focus on the world you've created within your heart, you will always be safe. Your heart is ready to take flight, don't hold it back, it's trying to take you somewhere. Delve into yourself, discover everything there is to know about your soul; stopping to feel every beat of your heart, and every breath you take. The world is closing in on you again. Shadow Angel
You wonder if the little girl realizes just how frail she is. But she's perfect that way. Her heart of innocence is what makes her light enough to fly into the hearts of others. Revealing their deepest secrets, secrets they never even knew they had. The girl whose with you when you're walking alone at night, right behind you.You can feel someone there, you turn around but see no one. Does she realize how beautiful she is? Her eyes reveal the soul of a higher spirit, you wonder what she's thinking. You make eye contact with her, she turns the other way, looking down. You wonder what she sees down there, what's hidden in this girl made of glass, her world colored white, her invisible hand reaching out. Late at night she stands over your bed, kisses your forehead and gracefully pushes the hair out of your face. Her touch is as light as a feather, hers is the touch you know you felt in your dreams, but can't explain. This girl is your shadow angel, the one who dries your tears and sings you to oblivion. Here's another one for "TheBeautifulOnes" or whoever else wants to read it.
Perfection Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; as is perfection. What is perfection to you? Is it those curves, the way she lets her jealousy get the best of her; because it lets you know you're loved. Is perfection her flaws? The way she never looks you in the eye, the way she hangs her head, because the weight of her heart is just too heavy to carry. Does perfection have to be the same for everyone? The perfect shower- just letting the hot water consume your skin, your eyes closed, soaking in the feeling. The world slips away, and there's only you and the water. The perfect cry- the way your tears just seem to so gracefully onto the pages of your diary- sadness is beauty, beauty can be sadness.
