Not all things are meant to be uderstood in this world or any other world for that matter. The supernatural as you call it is just another plane of thought and exsistance. Believe if you want to and enjoy the visions and power that can be gained from it or don't believe and live a dull uneventful life. And yes I know I sound like I'm but realy I'm not and am a very nice person. Rape me, I am unpure.
Ravage me, I am prey. Reveal me, I am hidden. Request me, I am yours.

daned said: Hmmm. Good question.
I do not believe in anything which can not in some way be explained through science & nature. However, I do accept that there are phenomena in this world which we cannot comprehend through science YET. So, I do not dismis the possibility of, for example, telepathy or apparitions but I do believe that if they exist then they can one day be understood. I think the level headed way to deal with such matters is to neither dismis them or accept them. After all, what the bloody hell do we know? I do not believe in something that is not part of nature in some way, which to me is what the term 'supernatural' suggests. Fair enough? You saved me the trouble of saying all this. Ditto! I used to be divided on the issue, but I am now CERTAIN in the existence of "spirits".
I posted this in a thread about ghosts a while ago, but let me share my experience once again; About a year ago, my wife and I were downstairs watching TV. At around 11:00pm, we heard a noise coming from the kids' room and I went to investigate as it sounded like my daughter was crying. I went in and discovered that in fact she was LAUGHING. I sat down next to her and asked her what she was doing. She was TWO years old at the time, so her vocabulary was limited - but she pointed towards a corner of the dark room and kept giggling and laughing very coyishly, as if someone was making her laugh. I kept asking her WHAT was so funny, and all she'd do was point towards the corner and smile. She would even hide her face under the covers and then do "peek-a-boo" with her gaze fixed on this dark corner of the room. It's been said that pets and young children have the ability to see spirits, so of course it freaked me out. I jokingly told my wife that someone must be "visiting" our kids. We could hear her giggling for the next 5-10 minutes. This is something that she'd never done before, nor has she ever done it again afterwards. The next day, of course, my wife gets a call that her grandfather in Puerto Rico passed away during the night...at around 11:00pm. I don't need any further proof than THAT. Therapy said: Everyone is 'supernatural' - it's not all this pie in the sky type of thing, it is about realizing self as God (or whatever you call it, Universal Energy, Love, Truth, Life etc.etc) - and to be supernatural is to be in harmony with the life-force/energy in the most natural normal ways. No telepathy... no levitating... Just to be aware of self, in the moment. That's supernatural.
In that case (and only in that case) I believe in the supernatural But I don't buy any of those ghost stories, I know to much 'bout the working of the brain to belief in real ghosts. I'm not implying that the experiences of people aren't real, just that it's something similar to deja-vu.

When my twins were little, they used to see something in the fireplace that we couldn't see. They would never walk past the fireplace at night unless an adult walked with them. One night, I was home alone with them. My daughter kept looking at the fire place like it was scaring her. This went on for about 10 min. Them my son, who was playing with toys on the floor, suddenly looked at the fireplace and started wailing. I didn't need any more hints. I got my keys, grabbed my babies and went to grandmas. Later, when they could talk, they would say that there was a man in the fireplace. We told them to tell the man to go away. Then on Halloween, we dressed them as clowns. When we put them in the mirror, they both started saying "go away man!" **************************************************
