Good News Thread I just got off the phone with my sixteen year old who just told me he's ranked eleventh in his class and had a 3.952 grade point average. He sounded real disappointed that he wasn't in the top ten. I told him it was cool and not to worry about it. Then a friend of mine pointed out to me that I should be very happy that my son is not satisfied with what he has achieved and wants to do more! I am so proud of him, I am about to burst. This kid has gone from regular classes to honors and still has a high grade point average. He has also been promoted in his JROTC class from sergeant to captain in TWO months. AND, he is in drama club and take classes at the university on Saturdays. Fuck Org drama, real life is rocking hard right now!

Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect, it means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections... unknown

I give all props to my son cuz we have been through some very hard times together, but luckily, when I got my shit together, he got his shit together. He went from being a D student in the seventh grade to being a straight A student his first year in high school.
