I did not read all of the threads on the quaidbowl site. So I cannot speak with any specific knowledge as to who said what about whom. I do know that IceNine and chemmie were the main perpetrators on that front, and many others served as their accomplices or "enablers," and several others posted in a manner consistent with the org and dropped off after getting a taste of what the enterprise was truly about.
So with that knowledge in hand, I find it curious that Number23 led off with "hypocrisy" in the title of his post. A few quaidbowlers have gotten self-righteously indignant at the fact that many orgers have expressed their opposition at the content and conduct on the quaidbowl site. But it is undisputed that most of the quaidbowlers: -- posted freely on the site knowing it was concealed to the rest of the org, -- knew that their fellow orgers were being roasted with no opportunity to defend themselves, -- never told those orgers, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, -- would never have told anyone or acknowledged the enterprise if they hadn't gotten busted.. All the while the quaidbowlers continued to post here as if nothing was wrong. I have no problem with any group of folk getting together and doing their own thing and expressing themselves any way they want to. But when you do it in secret and try to carry on here as if all is well, and then get upset when you get busted, you are guilty of rank hypocrisy in my eyes. No one should ever receive death threats for expressing themselves. I agree with Number23 that that is just plain wrong. But don't expect roses and a mint on your pillow from the org as a whole. Some of y'all -- and you know who you are -- let your mouths write a lot of big checks on the quaidbowl site. Time will tell if you can cash them here on the org.
