What's happened? It seems there have been so many changes to the org in the last year or so. Even after all this latest pish that I'm only just starting to get a grasp of, the good ol' days really do seem better, "racists" or not.

I remember when I first came here. I liked Ian, then I thought he was aloof, but in the end I thought he was ok. Why did he leave? Now we have moderators which are somewhat characterless. Perhaps that's what a good moderator should be, like a good referee. Doesn't seem to be much consistency anymore though, or fairness. Definitely there's a lot of cliquey stuff going on regarding moderation.

There were always self-proclaimed superstars and elder statesmen of the org who were so ubiquitous, yet now those with this "status" are far less amusing, relevant or interesting. RD in particular seems completely self-absorbed and worryingly obssessed with his orglife and others' opinion of him.

Meanwhile there are those orgers, like myself, who never catch the eye, never really have a persona to speak of who simply keep things ticking over. Maybe we're the reason for the dullness? Perhaps some of us quiet, non-twat orgers have to step up and fill the void.

Or maybe those notable brilliant, talented, kind-hearted, witty orgers that are certainly here can be even more brilliant, talented, kind-hearted and witty. The org needs u more than ever.

My, this has been a ramble. No matter, rambling has its place. I just wondered why the org is a little dull these days. Can't we do something about it?




p.s. This might look like a site discussion thread but it's not, it's a general discussion thread, unless of course it was written by an orger deemed to be in or out of a particular category depending on the moderators' want.
