Prince.org people, let's have PEACE.

I have been briefed in the last few hours on the issues at hand, and how some org members had left to make their own forum at another site.

Some of the members are people that I have talked with before, some I didn't know too well. In fact, there are a couple who I really enjoy having conversation with.

Even though their viewpoints may differ from yours, the fact is that FREEDOM is key to all of us, no matter what our personal preferences. Some of us are more conservative, others more liberal, some like myself who just try to keep a balance and keep things fair. This isn't intended to be corny, and it isn't intended to change anyone's mind about the things that have been said about some, because there have been some pretty hateful things said by both parties left and right. I know that some things that were said are hard to swallow, but the best thing is to not to forget, but to forgive, and keep the peace within our community by accepting ALL people, no matter their personal viewpoints. This community is supposed to be about Prince Rogers Nelson and his music, and Prince's main message from all of his works is that LOVE is key, first and foremost.

Any nation divided against itself cannot stand. We are far from a nation, but a community has the same format. All people's rear ends stink, even if you think yours doesn't. Political views, social views, and religious views aside, we are all human beings. Human nature is a strange but wonderful thing- it makes us all unique from one another, but yet unites us in times when we need it.

So, whether people are racist personally, whether they are against homosexuality, whether they say jokes that aren't tasteful, whether they disagree with your socio-political views, whether they have a different god than you, the one thing that classifies them as an equal to everyone else is this:

Homo-sapiens. They are all human. We are all human. All destined to make mistakes. We are all free to speak our minds and we should be. If we were not allowed, we would be going against the natural free will of the universe.

Even when someone does not have compassion for you, have compassion for them, and uphold free will. Free will has upheld you, and will continue to do so, and to exercise your freedom means that others cannot be taken away, no matter what one thinks is "right".

Love one another, and love even when one doesn't love you. Hate will not solve anything, it will only harm our pursuit of happiness as one human race.

Let's have peace, and get this site back to a place of freedom regardless of our diversity.

Thank you all for listening.

Your friend,
Jason M. Dodson

Jason, do you believe cemented theosophical beliefs undermine natural human impulses and reactions, or should all responses and actions be Christlike in their execution?
Sorry, what I mean is...do you consider every one of your actions against your personal understanding of the Messiah's mindset before acting upon your own notions? Does your Christ reside within the heart or the head?

One day, in ancient Japan, a great samurai paid a visit to a famous monk.
- Do Heaven and Hell really exist? asked the samurai.
- Samurais are an uneducated, filthy lot. Why should I bother to answer your stupid question?
Upon hearing this, the samurai drew his sword.
The monk calmly said:
- Right now, the gates of Hell are opening.
The samurai put back his sword into its sheath and bowed down.
_ Right now, the gates of Heaven are opening, the monk concluded.

i like the whole post but this part caught my eye:
