Threats I posted my last post yesterday but what has happened in the last 24 hours is too rediculous for me to leave alone.
First I will just simply remind everyone that all we were doing on that site was talking shit about the actions of people we didn't like on Prince.org and telling some offensive jokes. We weren't planning to kill anyone. We weren't discussing the next KKK lynching. We were just telling dirty jokes and talking shit. I'm sure that every one of you has done something similar in your lifetime or even on Prince.org in your orgnotes. Since the site was outed I have received emails and phone calls threatening me and my family. There have even been threads on Prince.org threatening contact with my employer. Shit like this is when simple words on a screen go to far. You can hate me, you can hate what I did and you can hate what I said but enough is enough. None of what we did or said is a reason for threats against us, our families or our livelihood. I don't care how offensive we were to you, there is no reason for it. Make fun of us all you want, call us KKK members or whatever name you can think of. We deserve it. But leave our personal lives out of it. It's now time for whomever is responsible to look in the mirror. Everyone is out there saying how sick we are for what we did but what we did is not near as sick as what I have seen and heard in the past 24 hours. As I said yesterday, I am gone. I am no longer a concern to Prince.org or the people who post here. I have learned my lesson well. So please leave me alone too. Make fun of me all you want, but leave my personal life alone. Some of the members of 'that site' were clearly much more active in their vocal hatred. Some less active, and some seem to honestly not have participated long enough to see what's going on. I hope we can all move on past this witch hunt here and realize this could be a teaching moment. Villifying those involved with this mess, making extreme comments and sweeping generalizations will in the end lower us to the level of "that site" and prevent any growth and good from coming from this situation... Engaging "them" in thoughtful discussion could make something happen, however. Maybe help them see why the hatred disguised as humor is still just plain hatred, I dunno. I do know that the road this site is taking (for the most part) will insure that nothing good comes of this mess... must be the social worker in me, seeking to see where "they" are coming from and make some good from all this bad | |

I really hope that wasn't aimed at me. I am VERY offended by so many of the comments that were made over there. Some of my close friends were targeted and hurt and I had close friends "on that site" who I don't know if I ever will be able to be close to again...
