The links between the two sites has made it simple to click back and forth. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of moderating? "OVER THERE" is no longer accessible from the org. The site is down. The site being down sucks, I never got to see all the threads and posts. thankfully, there is a mirror site. someone copied it all for historical proof. The mirror site is only like ten threads though, I wanted the full horror. That was enough for me. I didn't interact much with these guys on the Org, as i'm not much of a GD poster usually.Doesn't make it any less sad though as i read their posts alot. Leaves a very bitter taste.

Moonbeam would have NEVER participated in the madness over there. It was the iron-fisted moderator "Ian" that was over there. that's what I was thinking...I'm still reeling from some of the people that were there, however. I just have this icky feeling that maybe, just maybe, I don't really know any of the people I've met here over the past years. I can't let that happen, though...I gotta trust in something. To me, it mostly came across as rather juvenile and immature...kind of like how 5 year olds get a thrill out of saying "poo poo" and "pee pee" while in the privacy of their rooms and with their friends...rollin' around on the floor with glee afterwards because they know they can say the "naughty words" there that they can't say anywhere else in the house...very juvenile...the tone of some of the threads there, though, obviously had far more ill intent than merely a desire to speak uncensored...and the need for the site's secrecy only added to the potency of its contents. Ironic, of course, is the fact that while going on and on about how horrible having moderators at P.org is, that very site used its secrecy as the ultimate "moderator"...and used its "moderation-thru-secrecy" pre-emptively, determining who's worthy of even posting at the site and who's not...can you imagine what would have been said there if P.org started doing that??... Overall, tho, it will ultimately not effect me, although I'm extremely glad it was brought out in the open...I long ago put the importance of internet message board sites into its proper place and perspective in my live--in life in general...and as far as racism goes, I've experienced it far, far worse and far, far more directly within my "real" life over the years, to the point that something like this just makes me roll my eyes in response. I learned a lot of how I view life and racism from my father...and I've seen him deal with it all with class and dignity. As a result, I've always tried dealing with everything I am dealt within life with that same class and dignity whenever I can... Disappointed in a few of the names I did see there...and respect has been lost, yes...you hope for the better to always guide us...but overall, it's basically yet another website with people posting their special brand of moronic twaddle, and enjoying the false sense of importance that the internet tends to give. It's no different from this place...just a lot more hateful.
