Whale Explodes On Street!!! WARNING (contains graphic image) 
Reuters The whale died on a beach Jan. 17. Due to decomposition, the whale’s organs burst from its belly on the way to a laboratory. TAIPEI (Jan 29) - The decomposing remains of a 60-tonne sperm whale exploded on a busy Taiwan street, showering nearby cars and shops with blood and organs and stopping traffic for hours, local newspapers said. The 56-foot dead whale had been on a truck headed for an autopsy at a university earlier this week, when gases from internal decay caused its entrails to explode in the southern city of Tainan. Why didn't they cover the whale with plastic sheets or something, then even it had exploded the debris would have been contained. Oh dear.
A lesson to us all, if you ever find yourself in the predicament of transporting a 56 foot whale through a built up area, cover it up folks! | |

Question: A dead, rotting whale was beeing toted on a truck! Didn't anyone -- even for a moment -- consider wrapping the thing up? ...For health reasons? For sheer tact? Who wants to look over on the road and see a rotting 50-foot whale in the lane next to them!? And we thought cell phones were distracting! ..And can you just imagine the smell!?!?
