Some of my co-workers call Jolly Ranchers "wine candy". Anyone ever heard that before? I don't get it.

And to whomever gave this thread two damn stars, stick some wine candy up your jolly ranch hole.

On an unrelated note: my father used to give us Japanese candy when we were very young that had sugar on the outside and when you bit down, sake squirted out.

That was a horribly constructed sentence.

They make chocolates in Mexico with your choice of either tequila or Kahlua inside...!

I don't think wine in Jolly Ranchers candy would taste good at all. But Jolly Ranchers candy themselves are delicious, especially the watermelon-flavored ones.

i remember this stuff from back home... it was sooo good (too bad i can't eat it anymore)



and i always loved the German liquor-filled chocolates...

I guess it is where you grow up. I thought they were called wine candy for years. Somebody had to "hip me" to the name jolly rancher.

I figured maybe "wine candy" was an old skool Chicago thing or something, cuz I'd never heard it before I lived here. We had some jolly ranchers at work recently and someone was like "oh, wine candy!" and everyone else started saying "oh yeah, wine candy!" and I had no idea what was going on, so I took a handful and hoped I would get drunk on the job.
