Who do you guys consider a better actor- Steve Buscemi or John Turturro?

Well, the reason i'm asking this is because they are often compared actors, and would like to know what everyone else here thought? Who's more versatile and better at his craft? Obviously i realise, Steve Buscemi is far more popular and people know him more.

In my opinion, John Turturro is far superior as an actor. Steve Buscemi isn´t really an actor at all, he mostly plays himself and does it well (as in Trees Lounge for example).

No question about it... John Turturro.

Steve just plays different versions of his own character... although very well, and I love him for it, but John's reached deep and played a variety of unforgettable originals.

Tough one. It'll sound like a cop-out, but I think they're pretty equally yoked. I agree, though, that Turturro might be a little more daring in the diversity of his roles.

It's like asking who's better, Roy Bolger or Burt Lahr...they're both really good, but they kinda do the same schtick from different angles.

turturro, by far.

i love buscemi, but as an actor he has very little range. turturro has tremendous range.

Hey, John Goodman is great in Lebowski! For unother good performance by him see Barton Fink. And errr.. i can't really think of any other standout performances by him that i've seen unfortunately.
