kidney stones

I have had kidney stones three times... the worst pain
ever imaginable! The pain is caused when the stones begin
to move and once they settle for a few the pain will
subside, then they start moving and the pain comes back.
I feel for you, girl! But once it passes you will be good
as new! No telling how long it will take to pass cause
every case is different. Just thank God for pain meds!
Get rest and be sure to drink LOTS of water, the more water
you drink the quicker it will pass!!

I heard those things hurt like fuck.

I'm so sorry to hear that that's one thing I hope I never get. my grandmother and father use to suffer with those things all the time.

The kidney stone passed through earlier this evening, thank goodness!

I can relate!
The only time I had 2 go 2 the hospital is
when I had kidney stones 2 years ago.
It´s a heritage thing,my dad had it in the 70's,
witch leaves my brother a bit worried.
Anyway,the pain is really bad,I woke up at about
6am feeling like I´d been stabbed in my stomach.
When I got out of bed I fainted.
Next thing I know I woke up lying on the floor.
I did´nt know what was wrong with me & I could´nt
think straight but I managed 2 get some cloth on &
went out 2 the pharmacystore,like they would B open
this early.
Of course it was closed & I remember thinking,
how the hell am I gonna get back home.
I found a park bench I could lay on 4 a while
before I could call my dad,who imediatly came & picked
me up & drove me 2 the hospital.
They gave me morphineshots & that just felt so great,
first feeling the pain go away & then when I got high
from the morphine.I remember just falling in love with
the hole world,wanting 2 tell everybody I know how much
I love them,lol
But really,I´m greatful everyday I wake up with no pain
after that experience.

Yeah, lol, I have to take it to my doctor's office on Monday so they can check it out and see if it's the kind of stone that formed due to something in my diet (thus, something I can prevent in the future), or if it formed due to unknown reasons (which is what most are, from what the emergency room doctor told me).

It's a type of pain that's hard to describe isn't it, except to say it's "the worst"...I felt like an idiot in the ER registration room, rocking back and forth in my chair, trying to control my breathing.

I had to respond to this one.

I had a kidney stone a couple of years ago, and that was the WORST pain i've ever had in my entire life. Mind you, i've cracked three ribs.

I had a female nurse tell me that the pain from kidney stones is WORSE than having a baby.

I was on a morphine drip, and i could still feel it. I was amazed when it passed, at how small it actually was.
