"Solitaire" by Carpenters.

I've been listening to them all week since I heard a documentary on Karen Carpenter on BBC Radio 2, this week. I'd forgotten how good they were.

I know people may think they were white-bread / sugary sweet but Karen was the best singing drummer in the world and Richard's arrangements are out of this world.

I love the Carpenters! Their vocal arrangements and soothing melodies are incredible. I wish people wouldn't "colorize" songs or musical styles... bottom line, they were a great act, she and he were a very loving brother and sister.

I listen to her voice and think... "on the day that you were born, the angels got together and decided to create a dream come true..."
