The hobbit

... i have heard so many rumors about this becoming a film, i have read this book, and it is really good, it was ment for my age group, young adults, and 1 of the main characters is GANDALF (my fav) biggrin but i was woundering, if any of u alot have heard of this becomin a go movie?

I haven't heard of there being a film for The Hobbit in the pipeline but I agree it is a great book!

i have heard rumors...but who knows if there is any truth behind them??!!

i would LOVE it if they were true...my dad read 'The Hobbit' to me when i was 6 years old and its been one of my fav books since.

There's talk of Jackson directing this after he finnishes King Kong. However, I also hear that there are great problems with the ownership of the rights to the story which will make things difficult.

I think there is danger of Hobbit overkill myself.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

From what I've heard Peter Jackson has said he would love to
direct 'The Hobbit' (after doing his remake of King Kong).
But unlike Lord Of The Rings, the rights to The Hobbit are
tied up in lots of legal red tape and it may take a while to
sort it out.
