Can men and women ever really be friends ? My answer is yes, but I know with some people the answer may differ. Sometimes it's best 2 have a friend of the opposite sex, cuz that's how u can learn about each other. [This message was edited Wed Jan 28 5:32:37 PST 2004 by DigitalLisa]

If you talk with the opposite sex, people always want 2 assume you want to date him/her or if you do have a male friend, people always want to assume he’s your boyfriend. Why can’t a man and a woman be friends without any complications ?

I think it depends.. If BOTH of you are not attracted to each other then.. YES... no problem.. BUt if one of the 2 is attracted to each other, then that person will always have thoughts of fooling around or feel differently about the other.. It is a fine line and very very hard to keep... Why can't we be friends, Why can't we be friends, Why can't we be friends, and do a two on one cuz I never was a baller

Yes. they can be friends. But only if they're both taken.
If even one is single and looking for a partner, they might consider that friend as the partner, or try and look in that friend for the feelings that are missing.

Yeah, it can happen. It is harder when either of us is in a relationship. I have a friend that I've been friends with for 20 years and every woman he sees is jealous of me.

Yeah they can be friends with the sex or feelings for her never getting in the way if she's ugly.Cause if shes not,hes thinking all kinds of shit. And sooner or later its gonna come to a point.I'm not saying its impossible, just very difficult.

I have 3 roommates.. and they are all male. 2 of them are my best friends. We've known each other for 7 or 8 years. I think it's not only possible, but its wonderful.
I've lived with my girl friends before.. and it's always been a bad experience, ending in drama. With the guys, things are just.. perfect. There is no drama.. there is no 'he said, she said, they said' in it all. We all just goof around, play some playstation, make fun of each other.. and thats it. So my answer is yes. They can be and they should be. twitter: @newpowersoul

As long as being friends comes first, being lovers can make it even better.
I mean being friends should be the most important thing in a relationship, as real friends talk about everything that's on their minds and still remain friends. I'm not sure you can comprehend, I hope I make sense

Friendship is the number one thing, cause without friendship your relationship would only be based on sex, and we all know that that cant go on forever (people get old).

Yes if they are
housemates (coz you get the family feeling) roommates one of them is gay and the other one is accepting that There are possibly more possibilities (that's right! What a sentence, hehe), but if they don't live together and they are single, then I don't really believe in it, because we all have hormones right? And when we want sex we want sex. Platonic relationships never really worked out for me, because the guy usually started hitting on me or we just talked about sex all the time and turned each other on with talking about it, and that ain't really platonic right? 18 August 2007, O2 Arena, London

I have male friends.
But I've never kept in contact with any of my past boyfriends. Somehow, afterwards, I don't want to continue a friendship. My friend said something about this recently. She thinks that there is usually a hidden agenda on one or both parties side when a friendship continues after a relationship. I think she may be right...

I love having men friends... They are loving, they hurt, they cry. They confide..they take care of me.
And not once did I think of them in a sexual manner. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
