Is Bill Murray the First SNL Alum to be Oscar Nominated?

I was thinking about this today... the original Not Ready For Prime Time Players have become so fucking respectable as of late...

Garret Morris... sitcom fame
Jane Curtin... sitcom fame
Dan Akroyd... movie and tv fame
John Belushi... movie and tv fame
Gilda Radner... movie & Broadway fame
Lorraine Newman... movie fame
Chevy Chase... movie fame

...and now Bill Murray, kick ass movie career and HUGE respect as of late.

Did I miss anyone (originals, not guests)?

Who did/do you like the best. Who's exceeded your expectations?

Do tell... mr.green

no way in hell is he gonna get this...you know how many movies the guy has ruined? im not talking about films that were completed..im talking about movies that he agreed to appear in and then walk away from..movies that started production and he would disappear from... a buddy spent a god 30 minutes at a dinner party one night telling me bill murray stories..i ended up hating the guy...

i think the actors appreciated the great work he did but in the end i think they are going to let the nomination stand as his reward...and they are gonna snub him just like he has soo many others...sadly, in the end..politics/popularity trumps quality when it comes to these awards...
