I couldn't be more happier about this, I love break dancing!! Never tried it, but I have always enjoyed watching other people doing it.

Just recently, a group of dancers did a break dance routine for the Pope, and what's funny is that he seemed to geniunely enjoy it. I have also noticed that there is a commercial for a fast food place (McDonald's?) that features break dancers. There's also a new movie coming out that has break dancers in the commercial.

Did any of you used to break dance back in the 80's? I guess it can be dangerous, since neck and back injuries are common. I'd be interested to hear your stories, since break dancing, to me, is totally cool.

The question is, when did it ever go away? When I was living in New York, I used to see breakdancers and pop-lockers in different areas. I actually knew some guys who could breakdance back in High School, and they were awesome. Also, I used to hang out with my friend who was a photographer every Friday night at Union Square to check out some breakdancers.

You must be referring to a group called The New York Breakers. A guy at work was telling me about them, they kept break dancing, even when break dancing was kind of passe. I guess they sometimes come to my hometown to do a show. If they ever come this way, I gotta go see them!!
