In Tune With The Universe/Life/God

How well do you feel you're in tune with the universe (or life or God)??...

Do you believe there are no such things as coincidences?? Do you leave yourself open to be communicated with in a variety of ways by forces larger than yourself??...If so, do you feel the "universe" is trying to guide you or help you in some way...and if so, do you still listen even if what you're "hearing" doesn't validate what you want to hear?? Or, do you filter out those "communications" from outside yourself that don't validate how you're living your life?

Me?...I have felt "in tune" with Life/The Universe/God quite deeply for a few months now...I've purposefully have made myself "listen" constantly throughout each day as to what I'm being told, and most importantly, why...Supa called it "confirmations"...I like that term (although that somewhat indicates only those things which back up our already-formed opinions on ourselves and our lives)...How has it helped? Mainly, it gives me amazing peace and rest, because my immediate instinctual reaction to anything "negative" is to say "This happened for a reason"...so much more empowering and spiritual than saying "Why is this happening to me??"...

So, are you "in tune" with Life??...

To follow up...what I meant here, is that I tend to tell myself that perhaps there is something within my life that I've not dealt with or that I've simply ignored...and that when "negative" things occur, one of the first things I now think to myself is perhaps there's something within me that needs addressing, but I've chosen not to...and "Life" has given me a particular opportunity to bring that back to my attention. Kind of like saying "You know, you really need to deal with (fill in the blank), for your own sake...and I'll just keep bringing up things like this until you get the hint and deal with it"...

Maybe you're just misperceiving the "wack", so to speak...

Ok, that made no sense on the surface of it...lol...

I know that I am very intune with life, and my God.

I also realize that all things happen for a reason, and one may not understand at the moment that it happens, and eventually the light bulb eluminates. It really is an incredible sensation.

We make choices in life, and to me it is important that the choice I make be one that I can live with until I die.

And with that comes responsiblity for being who you are, the man in the mirror is a telling self.

I think so... Some people sugar coat things.. You grow, and you learn as your life progresses.

You are exactly where you are suppose to be for now.. Don't give up!

We tend to believe that external events effect and control what occurs within us...when in reality it's just the opposite. It's what occurs within us that effects and controls the external events, not the other way around.

This is something I have been in touch with all my life. Some people call it "coincidence" but the frequency with which I receive "validation" is just too much to simply be coincidence.

A recent occurrence was just so full of connection that I cannot simply say it's a coincidence. A lot of times the confirmation doesn't really add anything "meaningful" to my life but it does confirm the connections I have and that I am in tune/touch with others around me, even strangers. I look to that as confirmation as well.

Here are a couple of examples:

Example 1 - It was a Friday night and I stayed out until and went to bed at about 3:00 a.m. The next morning I woke up about 11:00 and called my best friend. She told me that someone put acid in her beer without her knowing and that she "tripped" the night before. We had some absoulutely mindblowing experiences on that substance together so I looked foward to hear what her night was like.

We got together on Sunday for lunch in the Angeles Mountains. On the way we stopped at McDonalds for a restroom break. At the time they were selling the yogurt parfait with the berries and granola. I looked at the ad and commented on how I would never eat it but that I had the most vivid dream about eating blueberries and cream a couple nights before and that even though I would never eat that, in the dream I loved it and could taste it, which is something that rarely happens in my dreams (tasting things). My best friend asked me exactly when I had that dream and I thought about it and told her it was Friday night. At this point, we had not talked about her experience on Friday night and it turns out that around 5:00 am she ate blueberries and cream, and since I went to bed around 3:00 Friday night, my dream very likely occurred as she was eating the berries and cream.

Example 2-I was out in LA and met a group of flight attendants from England. We were in a group conversation for about 10 minutes when I had deja vu. It was so hard that I actually got dizzy from it. One of the guys noticed that something was going on with me and he asked me if anything was wrong. I told him that I had deja vu and that it was so strong and vivid that it made me dizzy for a second.

He asked what my deja vu was. I started explaining all the things I knew were going to happen or be said and then prefaced the rest of my explanation with the knowledge that this part of it makes no sense whatsoever. I then proceeded to tell him that one of the reasons I got dizzy from the deja vu is because when I saw the girl who sparked the deja vu, I had a clear and distinct vision of the lock ness monster. 2 of the girls in the group started freaking out telling me how the guy I was standing next to in the group had just gone on an expedition in the Lock Ness to look for the monster just 5 days before. Now since we were in a group situation I know there weren't any side conversations in which I might have heard this and we definitely did not discuss the guys trip. He was as surprised as the girls.

Many times I look at this "confirmation" as confirmation that my life is on the right track and they only validate my connection to my world and the people in it nod

Some people never take the time to analyze themselves.
Mentally they are mechanical products of the factory of their environment, preoccupied with breakfast, lunch dinner, working and sleeping, and going here and there to be entertained.. They don't know what or why they are seeking, nor why they never realize complete happiness and lasting satifsfaction.
By evading self analysis, people go on being robots, conditioned by their environment.

It is good to to analyze one self dispassionatley..To write down ones thoughts, and asipirations. Find out what you are, not what you imagine you are!

Just my two cents!

Wow...very cool stories, especially the first one about eating (and tasting!!) the very same thing your close friend was eating for real...I've had those types of "undeniably-not-a-coincidence" experiences before, "confirmations" of a very real connection with someone...they are powerful things indeed.

I have had experiences like those as well. I had a dream once that a friend of mine was talking with a very handsome man at a party. I could see him very clearly. The next morning she called me and told me that she had met a guy...at a party at around the same time I had the dream. I described the man in my dream...and he fit the same description.

So true...each individual event of connection is to be treasured...and each individual soul with which we have continuous events of connections should be celebrated. rose

Recognizing that you're not, is a very real way of being in tune, tho...you have to be sincerely in tune to recognize when you truly are, as well as to recognize when you truly aren't...
