oprah makes me wanna vomit!

this bitch is so stuck on herself. i have a respect for her and what she's acomplished in life but why does everything on her show always come back to "me" or "i" or "myself"? she has guests on her show and then she talks about herself through the whole interview. i just watched a segment about some woman and man who were molested by their father. the whole time oprah was talking about her own experience. now, i could understand this if it happened here and there but, i mean, through this entire segment she spoke about herself. even to the point where, at the end of the segment when she thanked the woman for coiming and sharing the story, she said 'you've effected other girls right now, just like i effected you." come on, man, gimme a fuckin' break. this is why i haven't watched this woman in years. but she has become even worse!

I kinda like Oprah. She's smart and compassionate. I mean sure, she doesn't shut up, but she's a talk-show host. boxed

Hey, Melissa! I owe you an email about 2/16!! biggrin thumbs up!

I like Oprah, too. I respect her a great deal. She brings some quality to the daytime talk show, it's not just about controversial, drama-filled things. But I have noticed what SassyPants is talkin' about, too, and it IS annoying, lol.

I like her too! She's smart and kind, and really helps people tackle issues big and small in their lives. What a great lady! I actually had the opportunity to meet her once. I was so starstruck and impressed, that I didn't even mind when she asked me to go down to the deli on the corner and get her a bagel while she talked to my boss.

So yeah, I can see why someone would say she's stuck on herself, but I still think she's tops! Go Oprah! woot!

The only Oprah episode worth watching is the interview with Prince. She takes an exclusive tour through Paisley Park, and actually sits in his studio while he sings Purple Rain to her while playing the Piano.

a girlfriend of mine went to see Oprah in December. she was so disappointed cause as soon as the cameras were off Oprah did not interact with the audience at all...it got so bad that a lady in the front row said to Oprah "can you speak up we can't quite hear what you are saying" while Oprah was talking to Bob Guiney (the former 'Bachelor') and Oprah actually responded "you are not supposed to hear...we aren't speaking to you."

my friend swears she will never watch Oprah again and she was the absolute biggest Oprah fan ever.

its a sin when celebreties forget who it is that MADE them famous is the first place...fans.

I like Oprah, but I never really watch her show anymore.Back in the 80s,she used to do interesting, provocative topics. But now her show has become boring and predictable. It's mostly geared towards middle-aged women...lol...

Call me crazy, but I'd rather watch the chair-throwing,name-calling theatrics of the "Jerry Springer Show"...lol

Oprah would have been a better person if she would have said 'you've effected other girls right now, just like you have affected me."

I think Oprah is okay for the most part. My mother used to watch her show everyday and it seems like she truly cares about people and all. The most annoying thing was all the commercials that she has in her shows, she would have two minutes of show and then, like, seven minutes of commericals. Friggin' annoying. As far as her being stuck on herself, I think she has a right to. Afterall, she is the first african-american female billionaire or some such thing. Chirs Rock won't even make fun of her and he'll take on anyone!

I love me some Chris Rock. biggrin

she's been doing that for years. Judging by her viewership, most don't seem to care, which I find perplexing. A good host is a great listener, not just a talker.

well,
i think she's sooo commercialized she doesnt even realizes it (13 ways to make a salad) barf I MEAN REALLY!!! get real,
...an i dont like the fact that if she does choose to giveaway gifts (dont tell how much they cost)...whats up wit' that??? its all a TAX write off anyway, she should try HUMILITY for a change, its more attractive than her "GESTURES" of kindness!

I like Oprah. I think she understand what it means to give, and she shows great compassion.

Now, I could not get down with all that 50th birthday extravagance. But, then again I'm not big on celebrating my own birthday so...
