what would qualify as "other"...? We are the heat and the light in the forest. Without us this is only a place. With us it becomes an adventure.

Cremated. Who needs to take up so much space... forever? [This message was edited Fri Jan 23 20:08:53 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Cremated. No question. And I want to have my ashes blown in the face of Jeff Bridges just like in "The Big Lebowski."

[This message was edited Fri Jan 23 20:08:53 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Actually it's not forever, you and the casket would eventually deteriorate/decompose. BTW, I'd like to be buried next to my husband and/or lover They did WHAT??!....

Yeah, I guess you're technically correct. But it'd take hundreds and hundreds of years -- especially if you have a vault. We're still finding prehistoric skeletons in some cases. Would you ever consider getting you and your husband's ashes mixed and ultimately scattered over some beautiful place you both love? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Hey, does anyone know if the prices of burial and cremation are comparable? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

okay, hehe, just a few facts and I apologize for killing this thread, that is just my karma, I guess.
even if you have a vault, you will still decompose, and quick enough, I guess, as vaults often break apart as the body gases fill the vault under pressure...morbid, but FYI. Don't go for a really expensive vault.. Also, it is thousands cheaper to be cremated, minding you might add fees for embalming in case you want a viewing first, etc. the casket, embalming, etc as well as the burial run an average of 6,000 to 10,000 dollars. Cremation is going to be about 1/5th of that, to my knowlege, if not cheaper..like I said, extras and all... btw, I want to be cremated..

How long does it take the actual vault and casket to degrade in average temperature and moisture? By the way, I owe you an orgnote [This message was edited Fri Jan 23 21:49:17 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου
