I think I would like to hear JD's thoughts on the Luddite movement. Anyone else any strong feelings on the matter?

Hey RD, let's not get back onto the subject of movements. Not when you bear in mind where I once had one.

Well, the process of revisionism has gone too far, with continuity emphasised at the expense of change and with many historically unique features of the economy and society unjustly neglected to give me a full, objective answer. Changing trade patterns, the role of the state, demographic behaviour, the rich diversity of technological and organisational change, the place of female and child labour, and changing social and political relationships all need to be considered not whilst In drunk. Let me give U an answer tommorow. smile
