Which orger would you like to write a book about the Industrial Revolution in Northern England between 1750 and 1850? I think I would like to hear JD's thoughts on the Luddite movement. Anyone else any strong feelings on the matter? Hey RD, let's not get back onto the subject of movements. Not when you bear in mind where I once had one. "You know, you're the classic example of the inverse ratio between the size of the mouth and the size of the brain"

JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

[This message was edited Mon Jan 19 17:00:57 PST 2004 by daned] Well, the process of revisionism has gone too far, with continuity emphasised at the expense of change and with many historically unique features of the economy and society unjustly neglected to give me a full, objective answer. Changing trade patterns, the role of the state, demographic behaviour, the rich diversity of technological and organisational change, the place of female and child labour, and changing social and political relationships all need to be considered not whilst In drunk. Let me give U an answer tommorow.
