The word 'Hyper-bole'...

Come on, how many of u grew up pronouncing this word as if it were the finals of some futuristic American sport?

I don't believe u. disbelief

And I'm sure there must be some fools out there who always pronounced "chameleon" as "chamlin."

Shocking.

My sister was in the maternity ward next to a woman who was planning on calling her baby girl a name pronounced Wiv-on-nee. My sister said oh what a lovely name, where does it come from. The woman showed her a book of baby names and there it was :

Yvonne.

She didn't have the heart to correct her, I told her she should have, if only for the sake of the poor child.
