I miss Gilda Radner Dansa's sig reminded me od old SNL--th e originator abby..I watched this while my elementary forneds were still sleeping at 10 from playing with their damn Tonka trucks...
Roseann Rosanna Danna Emily Latellla Baba Wawa etc Jewish Jeans Lisa Loopner etc. Gilda went out there and was so outrageous and cute and funny..I really miss her spirit I do btw Jane Curtain never got her props for playing the straight lady but thats another thread "Climb in my fur."

she was a genius...
i grew up watching SNL both in reruns and when they aired for the first time. everything i learned about comedy that i use now in my craft comes from having studied the greats: gilda radner bill murray dana carvey phil hartman jon lovitz jan hooks all had a great impact on me, and i stole a lot of my style and delivery from them when i was first starting out. sadly, both she and hartman are dead. She's a funny lady.
They repeat the old SNL episodes on cable over here. They're freakin hilarious! When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
