I'm trying to be all glamorous and stuff for the concert tomorrow. But I can't paint my nails for the life of me. It's getting all over my fingers and cuticles. Is there a female coordination gene that I'm missing that allows you to paint nails, flip pancakes and fold fitted sheets without them looking like total shit? This is pissing me off big-time.

i can't fold fitted sheets, either...and i'm a woman. as for paintin your fingernails i can't help ya on that one either. i haven't painted my fingernails in ages...i stick with paintin my toenails.

Painting with the left hand isn't too far removed from laser surgery.

There is a lot of technique involved. Base first, color second, top coat last to prevent chipping. Follow the instructions on drying times. For each nail application, make a strip in the middle then do each side. To do each strip, put the brush almost down to the cuticle. Press down to paint down to the cuticle, then pull brush back up. Oh you did soak your fingers in warm water and push the cuticles back first, didn't you? After that you would make sure the nails were clean and dry by toweling them off and running polish remover over them.
To paint the nails on the hand with which you write, simply be very very careful and practice a lot as a 13 year old.
To do your toenails, you might get some of those foam toe separators.

i'm right handed, but sometimes it's easier for me to use the fingernail polish brush with my left hand. it seems steadier, i guess, for the delicate work, than my right. the right is a little too strong and "thrusty" i guess.

yep. And be very careful not to spill the polish. Especially don't spill red polish on your sheets, clean them, then give them to your mom to wash another time when they still have a red stain because she'll freak out and tell you you're gonna get pregnant if you're not careful.

I use to be real good at when it came to painting my nails, use to work on them for hours, now I just slap on some clear coat.
