Anxiety said: Lillian Gish was my great-aunt. Not exactly a supermegastar these days, but back in her day she was a huge movie star - she starred in D.W. Griffith silent films, and I think the last movie she made before she died was in the '80s - "The Whales of August".
How cool! I remember her. (not that I'm an old lady or anything...) "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Dude! That's so cool! Richard the Lionhearted AND the amazing JCC? WOW!!! yea, not bad at all... there was some other english royalty we are descendants of, but richard is the one everyone knows the name of. That's so weird. I am reading about Eleanor of Aquitaine right now. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

King Kong. NO WAY!!! How are you related to the fabulous Miss Wray??? To be honest I really am not sure. I just remember when I was little me and my grandfather were watching King Kong and he told me that we were related to her. I wanna say that she was his 2nd aunt... but could be wrong. He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

That is SOOO mf-in' cool. One of the originators. Moanin' At Moonlight is one of my all time favourite albums. BTW , my relatives: WILL HAY - British wartime comedian and movie star. Apparantly a cousin of my maternal grandmother. The personal bodyguard of William The Conqueror is supposed to be an ancestor. My father's hobby was geneaology and he traced the family history back to France. The chap above invaded Enland in the Norman Conquest of 1066 ( the last time England was successfully invaded ).
