However, as I got older I grew to like it. There are a few Bretts around but not too many to make it a common name. As for my middle name! What were my parents thinking when they came up with "Kirby"? WTF? HeY! That's a Nintendo game character you know

Is it as in 'deja vu'? Becuz that's what I thought. 'Vu' being Ur nickname right? yup, it's exactly like that. it's a common phrase, but for some reason people cannot pronounce my name! that's what i usually tell people, "it's deja...as in deja vu..."

I too have learned to like my name. It is hebrew and I was named after both of my grandfathers. As a child I was constantly teased and to this day people insist I am a boy until they see me. I even had to have the "I am a girl" argument with the guy that comes to you house when you turn 18 to sign you up for selective service. But as I said...I have grown to like my name. Besides...There are only like 12 other people with my name anywhere. (exaggeration, I know but for real there really are extremely few.) No I do not like my name. I got teased for it in school and it sucked. I have like an old English name. It's not very common amongst my generation. Maybe someday I'll change it.
