i was named after St. Martin, who shared his coat with a poor man... that's pretty cool! plus, it's not very common in the States, and i can go by just my first name a lot... ya know, kinda like Cher...

I like Chris, but it's SO DAMN COMMON. I do prefer Christopher, which some people call me. My middle name is Patrick, and I like that, too.
Do u like yours? http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

I love my name, if it wasn't mine, I would have called my daughter "whateva".

I always wanted to be called Pebbles Peabody-Perriwinkle

I have learned my first name is actually a rare Dutch surname. As a little black kid growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, I used to hate my name (I had people address me by my second name). Now I LOVE my first name.
...I do wish I had a cooler last name, though. [This message was edited Thu Jan 8 23:30:28 PST 2004 by Lammastide] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

So is your first name actually St. Martin or just Martin? If St. Martin is your entire first name, that is cool as hell! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I love my name, Cara. It's not strange, but it's also not very common. It means "beloved" in Italian, and I like how it's spelled. I think it looks ugly when spelled with a K.

My name is one lettter.
J That's it. It isn't an initial or anything. That is my full first name. It sucks ass. I have to explain, sometimes for 10 minutes or more, that it really is my full first name. I have had the DMV not be able to enter a one letter name into their computer and they had to put my middle initial in there also (which is also J.) just so the computer could put a name on my drivers liscense. It's a pain in the ass. "It's that Coqui 900, can I have me a sip"

Yes, I like my name very much. My parents named me Amber after my mom read the book "Forever Amber" when she was pregnant with me. When I was growing up, I was the only one I knew with this name. It was hard sometimes as every other little girl was Susan, Debbie, Mary etc., but now I really like my name. I've noticed that a lot of strippers and porn stars like it too which doesn't amuse me too much

Dunno how my father came up with "Teller."
As a kid it was a pain in the ass name to have, lots of teasing...but as an adult, it's cool, and it's nice to be the only one. Fear is the mind-killer.
