Looking back: Ren & Stimpy!

Okay folks, I know there are some fans of Ren & Stimpy on the Org. So everyone post up their favorite episodes/moments/quotes from the show.

For me personally, I loved all the episodes before Jon Kricfalusi was fired. (For those of you unaware, Jon K was the creator, writer and voice of Ren). Once he was off the show, it lost its deranged flavour, and just became about gross-out humour. Still, those early episodes were comic masterpieces!

My two personal episodes are "Space Madness" and "Stimpy's Invention"!

"Eet it not I who am crazy! It is I who am mad!!!"

"Look! Stimpy!!! I'm so HAPPY!!!"

"SEE HOW I LOVE TO CLEAN FEELTHY CAT BOXES!!! AWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Classic cartoon in those early shows! Very subversive!

What was that one when Ren is sick in bed and he dresses a dust bin up as Stimpy etc? I havnt seen those shows in such a long time.

Funny stuff! nod
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Remember when Stimpy was instructed not to push a red button, but this annoying announcer kept provoking him to? That was pretty funny! lol

Man, I miss that show. That new one they put out on Spike T.V. didn't do much justice though.

I loved Ren & Stimpy! One of my favorite episodes was when Stimpy became famous because he one a chance to become the spokesperson for the kitty litter, and Ren went crazy because he missed him so much.

I also loved "Don't Wiz on the Electric Fence". Log was classic, Mr. Horse was great... "No sir, I don't like it.", Powdered Toast Man is the man, and Muddy Mudskipper is a god. Years ago on a trip to Universal Studios, they had a souvenir store with all Ren & Stimpy merchandise, and I bought a Log for my cousin, and a Muddy Mudskipper hat for myself (Before the criticism, I was, like, 10) My brother had a Ren doll that farted when you squeezed it.

'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

Criticism? I'm almost 33, and I would LOVE a Muddy Mudskipper hat!! How cool is that?!

'Space Madness' and 'Stimpy's Invention' are my favorites too.
Absolute classics!

The part in 'Stimpy's Invention' where he forces Ren to be
happy with his newly invented "happy helmet" has to be one
of the funniest and most disturbing cartoon sequences ever,
and of course it contained the classic "Happy Happy Joy Joy
Song" too!

And who can resist the warped humor of 'Space Madness', will
they or wont they press that 'shiny red button' and erase
the universe? And of course the whole section where Ren
goes mad is a classic.

"I've had thees ice-cream bar sceence I was a child.
People always try to take eet from mee.
Why won't they leave me alooone!"

and of course the timeless toy every child wants... Log!

What rolls down stairs
Alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor's dog?
What's grat for a snack
And fits on your back?
It's Log! Log! Log!

It's Lo-og, it's lo-og
It's big, it's heavy, it's wood!
It's Lo-og, it's lo-og
It's better than bad, it's good!
Yes sir, I like it!

Let's not forget the classic moment in "Rubber Nipple Salesmen" when they come to Mr. Horse's door:

Mr Horse- Got any rubber walrus covers?

Walrus- Call the police!

I laughed so damn hard at that, 'cause it was just so bizzare! What they hell was Mr. Horse doing to that poor walrus, and why???

lol I do that anytime ANYONE is eating ham around me, or if they serve me ham in any form!

I also always ask when I'm served cabbage "Is it stinky?". Usually I just get weird looks, but every once in a blue moon someone will shoot back with "just how you like it!"

i forget what the context was, but there was a reporter interviewing the horse, and the reading of the line was what made it hysterical, but te horse rubbed his jaw, deeply in thought and said "no, sir. i don't like it.don't like it at all."

Ren & Stimpy was AWESOME (the early episodes of course).

One of my favorites was when Stimpy pretended to be chasing Ren (who was dressed like a mouse), then was forced to eat him...hilarious!
By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!
