I've waited for this movie ever since I read the DarkHorse comic way back when. Now its almost here, and it will probably suck the sweat off a donkey's balls.

At least Freddy Vs. Jason was funny. This one probably won't even have the laughs to go with it. It will just be plain bad.

This is why the major studios fuck up so often. The final decison rests not with a director or a writer or even a producer (the producer's role in films is very overlooked) but instead it goes to some gimp with market statistics & trends!

CGI is fine for drawing in distant backgrounds and I'll grant you Peter Jackson has done some good CGI in "The Frighteners" and "LOTR" but PJ is the notable exception. He gets away with CGI by doing it in the dark or making it very fast, etc.

CGI when used to create creatures is normaly complete SHITE! No matter what you spend. I'm thinking in particular of those Star Wars sequels and 'special' (as in school) editions of the original triology. Even expensive Lucasfilm CGI looks like a computer game.

How fucking bad would cheap, rushed, shoddy Predator CGI look?
