Hands Up Brits Abroad! So, are there any Brits on the org living and working abroad?
I'm working as a teacher in Bangkok, Thailand, and living with my wife and some of her family (it's chaotic but amazing). The teaching thing isn't really my occupation as I see it since it's just a way to stay in the country in order to stay with my wife and do business here and abroad. So, anybody got their own story about what they're doing abroad? Damn I love the pound sterling, is there any better currency in the world? Doesn't it just feel great to have money that kicks the ass of every currency on the earth? I could look at the exchange rates all day.

U mean to say I'm the only Brit who's living abroad?
I guess with time zones and everything there might not be many people online, and even fewer looking at my crap thread. notabumpedit [This message was edited Wed Jan 7 6:53:25 PST 2004 by fauxnewbie]

As for the teaching, it's ok. At my school I teach 5, 6 and 7 year olds. Very cute I teach adults on Saturday. Thing is, I don't think I'm good at this teaching lark, but I need to do something to stay here. The money isn't great but I have other income so I can live like a king out here with the cheap food, electronics and stuff.

It's difficult at first for a new teacher, you might feel better as you get further into it Fauxnewbie.
