i reckon deep down its for the best...she as ive said is the most beautiful girl ive ever seen...she was a ballet dancer,shes a painter..shes been offered numerous modelling jobs which she balks at(in her polite way),shes a christian,she really is perfect..theres always going 2 be changes after a baby is born i suppose...i think i feel guilty coz i love the little man to bits im still waiting for that euphoric,life affirming bond thats going to change my life and stop me from wanting to tour india and the usa...ah blah blah blah

plus she is very very tolerant of my prince playing...ah im just feeling sorry for myself coz im stuck in a wee backwater place in nz,back home this would be sorted out by a night on the piss in newcastle and my mates taking the piss...perhaps i just need to take my head for a shite as we say round my way!

i think your situation sounds like a hard one. but maybe you two can work it out. maybe it isn't an 'all or nothing' proposition after all. things have a way of sorting out over time. see if you two can find a way to compromise for the kid's sake? i've noticed things between couples ALWAYS get a little shifty around the birth of a child. well, not all couples. but that's when the cracks do tend to show, if it's not a good match. and if it isn't a good match... why bother? especially if things turn negative. come to think of it it ain't healthy for the litle kid to grow up watching mommy and daddy have at it day in and day out..

jonylawson, something I've noticed right off the bat here is that you pretty much only mention relatively superficial reasons for your feelings for your girlfriend--the main one being: "she's the prettiest girl I've ever seen". (You mention that twice) Basically, this post reads as if her value to you is mostly that she's a humble, pretty, model-type, ballet-dancin' Christian girl.

Makes me wonder--don't you both need more to be happy? For exampel, what do you have in common? What sort of sense of humor does she have? What do you talk about and do together? Do your families get along? Do you both have goals, dreams, aspirations for yourselves together AND as individuals?

Partners are not accessories who make us feel valuable, we need to be able to do more than just admire them from afar...

I'm sure there's so much to your relationship that you haven't expressed here, and I don't mean to make assumptions about your relationship. Only you know what you feel and think. I'm just telling you how things appear to me based solely upon reading this...best wishes to you!!
