My male cat, Iggy, is a total genius. The other day I was playing Sim City 4 on the PC and he came up and sat in my lap. He started looking at the monitor at all of the little animations going on...I took the mouse and was waving the cursor around and he was actually following it and then looking down at my hand on the mouse!
MENSA look out...here comes Iggy!

We got my cat when we were in Germany, he can open doors by jumping up and hitting the handle, he flooded the apartment in Germany because he turned on the shower for a drink but it came on full strength. He loves to chase my husbands laser pointer ( the red bug) and watches his hand to see where it will be next.
We trained the dog to ring a bell that hangs on the back door when he wants to go out. Lucky ( the cat) is a inside kitty who doesn't go out but begs to. So now he rings the bell too!
he is a very smart cat...sometimes too smart.

I hate to admit is, but I love the dog more cause she, Amelie, has so much more character than any cat could ever have - I could swear she's a reincarnated Princess sometimes - she'll only sleep on a sofa with a pillow and a blanket, she only snoozes on HER bed !
(Plus our cat brings in dead animals, tonight, he brought in the bottom half of a squirrel and strew the guts out everywhere )
