Update: Jedimaster's play!! For all those who are wondering, here's the latest info on my play, Hedwig And The Angry Inch
My director and I met with local club Fitzgerald's, and they have tenatively booked us for a run in May. We will run four consecutive weekends (shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday), starting May 7. I also met with an investor this weekend, who has agreed to put up the cash to fund the run. next up, I begin the negotiations for the rights. Hedwig will be played by your's truly, while the part of Yitzak will be played by Elayne Gale (a truly fantastic actress who played the part in the San Antonio production). Standing in for Elayne on certain performances will be local actress Lynda Self. This is not an official announcement, since everything is tenative, but I am extremely optomistic!!! I just had to share with my Org family!!!

Man!! I just realised that I didn't credit my director! Jeff Rouner will be directing this show. This is his directoral debut, after many years of doing local shows. I hired him because I really feel he has the right vision for this show, and I wanted to give him his shot!
Both of us are stoked that we got a rock club to book the show, rather than a tpical theater. This will be a real boost, since the show is suppossed to project the illusion of being an actual concert! We've talked extensively, and we have a whole bunch of great ideas for this show. I cannot wait!

one of my bestfriends is close w/ John Cameron Mitchell (or is it John Mitchell Cameron)...i gotta send him an email to visit the org...I get the feeling he would be right at home with us  .
