Since I've noticed that those question treads are fun to read and fill in. I thought I'll have a go at it.

1. I joined because I finally found a group of people with my same disease. As I said previously, this is like a leper colony for Prince fans.

2. I hang on because this place is more informative then even Prince's own site.

3. Very important. See answers 1 & 2 above for the reason.

1. Why did you join the org? I wanted to commune with other serious Prince fans.

2. Why did you hang on (the org that is)? Once I got here, I was struck by how much depth there is here in things other than Prince.

3. How important is the org to you and why? I'd likely survive if the org shut down, but I admit there'd be a noticeable void at first. I suppose in some ways, the org has become a nice proxy for a less-than-riveting local social life -- It's safe. It's free. No smoke or loud music. I have "met" great people with varying experiences from all over the world, and they can't crash on my couch, eat up all my food, give me colds or ask to borrow money.

1. Why did you join the org? I wanted to be hooked into THE prince community. Been a fan since 1985.

2. Why did you hang on (the org that is)? I made friends and I enjoy the format.

3. How important is the org to you and why? It's no longer as important as it once was...I'm very busy anymore and I keep in touch with my favorite orgers off-line. But it's nice to have when work is going slow, or when I happen to be alone for a weekend and want some company, or whatever.

I've made great friends and had lots of fun. I agree with Teller about the format, it's hard to beat.

3. How important is the org to you and why?

Very Important. JDODSON and I asked for an Org Musician's Forum and we got it. Thanks Ben I've met some great artists here, I've learned so much and gotten great feedback about my music. We've kind of become a family over there and I love it. I really love those guys. We celebrated our 1000th thread over there and each described what it has meant to us.

I joined because I like Prince and I thought how fun it would be to get to know people who also like him and his music.

I stayed because even though I discover I don't know anything about Prince anymore, most of the people on here were funny and cool.

It's not. but some of the people here are worth the stay!

1. Why did you join the org? In 1996 I was the only Prince fan in Longview, WA and I was in DESPERATE need of confirming that I was NOT alone in this world.

2. Why did you hang on (the org that is)?That is a DAMN good question (especially considering I'm no longer into Prince). There are three people on here who make it worth staying.

3. How important is the org to you and why?It's important to me for my friends. Nuff said.
