My fave cartoon as a child was "Battle for (or was it of?) the Planets" I was 8 and had the biggest crush on Mark, whose voice sounded suspiciously like casey casem.

Battle Of The Planets, which was the first translation of the Japanese cartoon Gatchaman. It featured the members of the Ninja strike force team Gatchaman (G-Force, for short) as they battled the evil forces of Spectre, led by Zoltar. The heroes, left to right, are Tiny, Jason, Keyop, Mark and Princess.

There is another translation of this show called G-Force, but its just not the same. The characters have different American names, and the voices are different.

Last year, Image comics did a 12 issue BOTP mini-series, with painted covers by Alex Ross (who now owns all the American rights to Gatchaman/BoTP). A feature film is also being discussed!!

Not a character but one of my favorite shows. It was called Star Blazers here in the U.S. & Space Battleship Yamato from it's country of origin Japan.I think the TV series Battlestar Gallactica ripped off a few ideas.

Anybody remember Kimba the white lion?

OMG I remember Star Blazers...it was one of my favorite shows
