The House Of Yes OMFG!
I saw this movie back in 1997 and didn't really remember any of it. I think I must've been "distracted" at the time. Anyway, I just watched it the other night with my Mom and could not believe it. There are so many classic lines it makes your head spin. And the cast is brilliant, even people that normally suck like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Tori Spelling. When I first saw it, I didn't know who Parker Posey was, so it didn't have the same impact. Her genius is on display every minute of this film. I'm in total awe. My favorite part was when her brother first comes home with his girlfriend and announces that they're engaged. Parker's scream turns into a hysterical laugh after a few seconds I was nearly shitting myself. Anyone else a fan?

I never liked Parker Posey until this film. Now I LOVE her!! "a poor fool indeed is a man who adopts a manner of thinking for others"

I love this movie.
Actually, I hate the story and I think the plot is ludicrous. But I love the dialog, and I think Parker Posey, Genevieve Bujold and - YES - Tori Spelling are all fantabulous in the movie. Definitely a camp classic.

I love Parker and I love this film. To me, this is the classic Parker Posey role, her in her finest... "You be him, I'll be her"

LOVE THIS movie, even though, or probably because it's so disturbing. I'm a big ol' Kennedy whore -- they were my first addiction, before Diana Ross, and then Prince -- so it's unsettling, but... BRAVO!!! Brilliant. Parker kicks major fuckin ass while rawking the mainfuckingstage!!! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

This movie kicks ass!! I hate Tori spelling and this movie made me love her. Parker Posey is excellent as a psycho. And I absolutely love the story of this movie. Ludicrous or not, they play it out superbly (sp?)

I thought of that, but then I remembered when I had Mary Stuart Masterson from "Some Kind Of Wonderful" as my avatar...it got tiresome, cos every other day I'd get an orgnote saying "wow, you are a sexxxy woman, is that really you in your avatar" Cos people apparently didn't notice the "male" designation in my profile

I can TOTALLY see her in that role. Remember how sad and pathetic she was as the mother in American Beauty? She's a great actress. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Winona Ryder=Winona Horowitz in real life You know...she was really awesome in "House of Yes", "Best in Show" and "Waiting for Guffman" but, she wasn't that good in "A Mighty Wind" She was funny, but you can see her screwing up song lyrics and not playing her instruments when she's supposed to...I didn't like that.

I think maybe that was intentional, to make it seem more amateurish. She did a fine job, imo. They just didn't give her enough to do in that one.

I totally agree...she was basically just scenery in "A Mighty Wind" I do love her in "Scream 3." It was the worst of the Scream films but she was the best thing in it.
