I used to be allergic to shelled sea food, jumbo shrimp to be exact... that shit made me puff up like a puffer fish... Up until last year I realized that I'm not anymore.

OK here's my second try duh

Welkom to the club wave
I'm allergic to almost anything:
Raw fruits and raw vegatables, animals with fur and feathers, wool, nuts (except for peanuts woot!), all plant and trees with pollen and stingy ones and last but not least dust sneeze
Before I had my tests done, I sufferd from pneumonia nearly every winter.

I'd advise you to do some tests cause if you stay in contact with the stuff that causes your allergy it will make your allergy worse.

You will probably have to get rid of all things made of fabric in your house. No karpet, curtains, cusions, furniture made of fabrics or reed/cane. Draft and dry air will kill the bugs that bug you. Heat and moist will make them happy.
There are special covers for your matras and bedcusion and you shouldn't use a vacuumcleaner usless it has a HEPA filter inside. Always use a wet cloth to dust, so the dust will stick to the cloth instead of getting up your nose.

I hope this isn't going to ruine your way of live. I had a bad time addapting, but in the end it realy payed of. I also have some antihistamine tablets that work perfectly, I take them when I clean the house as an extra precaution and haven't even had a terrible cold since (2 years now).

Take care hug

one of the coolest and most unexpected side-effects of going vegan was that i got rid of my pollen allergy. every year in the spring time, i'd spend several weeks dealing with sinus problems, and sounded like Marge Simpson for half that time... now i occasionally get a sinus headache, but that's it... woot!

i am still allergic to our bunny, and his cage is in my office here at home - well planned, i know! wink

I'm afraid to try that, cause I can't eat raw vegetables, fruits and nuts. I have to cook everything and can't eat nuts, I think I'll get a real shortedge of all kinds of things my body needs.

while nuts are a great source of good fats and vitamins, i'm sure you can go vegan without eating them. and the raw vs. cooked foods debate doesn't really figure into the vegan diet - you can eat either.

i know that there is some research about the dairy/mucus/ear infection connection in children, but i'm not sure if there's anything on allergies and dairy. all i know is that it worked for me.
