I resolve, I resolve, I HAVE A RESOLUTION!!!!

WHAT DO U MEAN IT'S NOT IN THE COMPUTER???

Anyway... A friend sent this to me, and I'm going with it.

This year I resolve to:

see myself in a kinder light.
be more forgiving of my perceived weaknesses and more loving of my total being.
be less afraid to ask for help and more willing to offer it.
have at least 1 magically profound experience this year and stay open to a million more.
allow myself to receive.
grow.
release the past.
recognize that I deserve all that I desire.
give up my fear and replace it with a remembrance of the love that I have been promised.
not confuse how I act with who I am.
make my list of gratitude longer than my list of grievances.
see my life as indescribably delicious.
remember that I have not been forgotten.
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

damn it, now i am gonna have act of contrition stuck in my head all day.

man, the first time i heard that song it scared the bejesus outta me. thought the album was over, then heard a wierd whispering sound. followed it to the speaker and turned it up to hear what she was whispering just as that guitar slams on. about gave myself a heart attack

i thought my jambox was possesed for a minute... man, i am getting all nostalgic now. that tape was the first tape i ever bought. i got it whil i was in a foster home. after years of being under my fathers oppresive rule, i was (somewhat) free to listen to the music i wanted to. i had ALWAYS loved madonna, and he had ALWAYSforbidden us to have anything to do with her. that tape was in so many ways my first real act of defiance. that album is still one of my all time faves too.

Nice story. "LAP" was my first Madonna album, which I bought only because Prince was on it. I listened to "Love Song" a few times, put in on the shelf, and didn't listen again until after "Vogue" came out. At that point I was swallowed into the Madonna vacuum!
