the new Years Eve turning point

In the past new years was all about rock n roll n dying..from California to Atlantic City and Vegas in between…hootin n hollerin..now its “ok we will play pool and drink a few and just chill”

Okayyy…sure it’s a sign of maturity to party“lightly”…and I even stated this year lets just stay home but I know when 8 o’clock hits I’m gonna be down for rock n roll…but all my friends now have white picket fenced yards and 2.5 kids and 2 car garages and boats (Carly Simon ‘they have their husbands and their lawns’-That’s The Way I’ve Always Heard It Should Be)…the danger and outrageousness is gone. Now its chill at the pool table and watch the damn brats run around etc…ah well. Dick Clark….A turning point. At least I still have a rock n roll heart.

i got out about every other year. or every 3rd year. even on the years i go out, up til about 10, i think i'm going to stay home. and then at about 10:45 i start making frantic calls to find out where everyone's at, and then show up. most of the time, i'm content to just spend it quietly at home alone, not even with Dick anymore... (wink)

The problem when you have kids is that there is nothing you can do with the little blighters.

Rock on rd!!
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
