A local dude wins $155 million Mega Millions lottery Some lucky bloke in my neighboring suburb matched all five numbers in the Mega Millions lottery! He was the sole winner for the multistate jackpot and has opted for the immediate cash payout, $90 million before taxes, rather than getting the $155 million over 26 years!
The guy is a 35-year-old in South Euclid, Ohio. I live on the South Euclid/Cleveland Hts border -- so close that I have a South Euclid zipcode. I think I'll go schmooze with my neighbors this weekend. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I just got back from a shopping jaunt and there are news crews at the convenient store around the corner from me. It's where the guy bought the ticket.
Apparently, the crews had arranged for interviews with the winner there. He showed up, but then disappeared without notice. I think I'd go into hiding also for at least the first few weeks. He must have hordes of people knocking down his door! Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

He must have hordes of people knocking down his door! Relatives he hasn't seen in 25 years, or ones he never knew he had are banging on his door, ringing his phone off the hook...so eager to wish him well and get reaquainted. I'm firmly planted in denial | |
