In Detroit there's been a campaign going on 2 stop the gun shooting when midnight comes around. Last Yeara unfornate incident happened when a young woman was shot in her very own home, from a bullet by one of the people celebrating the beginning of the new year, by the time the ambulence came, she was already announced dead. There's been plenty more shootings, like this 17 yr old who was shot by the same incident. He was taking the trash out, when the guns went off, he was hit , he also died right on the spot. So this year, everyone is getting 2gether 2 stop this old tradition. Remember people, gun violence, is gun violence no matter what the occasion is.

This is what scares me about New Years: all those drunk, gun- toting idiots!

i remember livin in my dad's house and hearin folks in the neighborhood shootin their guns in the air every new year's eve/day. luckily nobody got shot/killed from all that, but it's still sad to hear about folks gettin shot from stray bullets.

i've never understood why folks feel the need to go and do that as it is.
