So did you watch The Office... ...specials on Boxing Day and Saturday 27th? It was the only thing I watched on TV over the last few days. It was rather good being poignant, cringe-inducing, melancholy, and very funny in places.
The "happy" ending (Tim and Dawn, David almost realising that there are more important things in life) was rather unexpected but welcome. My fave bits were the nightclub personal appearances (brilliantly observed comment on the awfulness of "celebrity" with Bubble from BB and Howard from the Halifax ads) and any scene with Gareth in it What did others think? Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I thought it was a wonderul end to a modern comedy classic. Everything turned out the way I wanted it to and it was nice to see Chris 'Finchy' Finch getting what he deserved.

Shit, no, I forgot it. Damn. And I meant to watch it, had
even written it down in my notebook. F*CK. But I did catch the Absolutely Fabulous Xmas special. That was surprisingly nice. I didn't particularly like the last season but this episode was kind of cool. There were some good laughs in it. Bubble was surely the highlight of this year's series. She was wonderful in the Xmas special "Sooo common!" and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Well, you'd think that David has changed... and then he does that last line (not the one after the credits, the one at the end of the photo taking). Still, brilliant end to a brilliant series. [This message was edited Mon Dec 29 7:03:19 PST 2003 by BartVanHemelen] © Bart Van Hemelen
