Is deciding when to retire your Santa hat avatar anything like taking down the Christmas tree?

Stupid question I know. I'm just wondering how long to keep mine up. I'm usually a late tree-taker-downer. I like to get my money's worth. And I've grown attached to the current version. Who still has theirs and how long will you keep it?

No it's more like taking down the lights on the outside of the house. Some people are very lazy so the lights just stay up year after year.

i'll be waiting til the new year too. it's nice to stay in the holiday spirit through new year's, even though it's a different holiday, and doesn't really call for a santa hat.

I'm leaving mine until the hat goes brown and starts shedding its fluff. When all that's left is a couple of threads and the bobble on top. I will take it down the rubbish tip.

Jan 6. Although I'm no longer Catholic, my mom always kept up our decorations until Epiphany, which is when the 3 Kings arrived. That's also when we got to open our stockings.
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark
